The Org Read: FAQ
The work
What is the Org Read?
Everyone in your organization, or a division of it, answers the same short set of questions. Their answers are combined into one read of the organization across the five things that drive adaptation: strategy, governance, operations, enablement, and culture. We write a short brief. Then we facilitate a half day with your leadership team. You leave with a few priorities and next steps.
What does the price cover?
Organizations from 40 to about 1,000 people in scope, in one organization or unit. One leadership team in the decision session. One language. The cap counts people in scope, not responses. For large enterprises, the scope is usually the sponsoring leader’s unit. Below 40 people, start with Your Read (free) and a conversation; larger scopes, additional teams, or additional languages are quoted separately.
Who answers?
Everyone in scope, or a division you and we agree on. The survey stays open for about a week. For a valid read we need responses from at least a quarter of the people in scope.
What are the five dimensions?
Everyone answers the same questions about how the organization decides where it’s headed (strategy), where the boundaries are (governance), how work moves (operations), whether people have the capability and time to learn new tools (enablement), and how people treat each other and work together (culture). Those five are what we call adaptive capacity. The Org Read measures what the organization does on each. It does not measure any individual’s skill.
How long is the survey?
About seven minutes, twenty questions, including a few about how each person uses AI in their own work. Answered on a web link. Nothing to install.
What happens in the three weeks?
Week one: we set up the survey for your organization; your sponsor sends a note to the people in scope; the survey stays open for about a week. Week two: AI, working from our Adaptation Framework, sorts the responses and finds patterns; we write a brief, using our judgment to interpret the AI output, and send it to your leadership team a few days before the session. Week three: we facilitate a half-day session, helping your team make sense of the brief and listen to each other so you can align on a few decisions. Within a week you get a written record that includes the brief and the decisions from the session.
What do we get?
A short written brief for the leadership team: where your organization stands on the five dimensions, and where leadership and the people doing the work gave different answers. A half-day session with your leadership team and two of us, remote or in person. A written record of the decisions: a few priorities, an owner and the means for each, and items to bring to annual planning. Our main job that day is getting the group to decisions.
What do you need from us?
A sponsor to send the link to the organization with a note, which we draft. A list of who’s in and what teams they belong to. Half a day on the leadership team’s calendar. A date.
Your data
How do you use AI?
AI, working from our Adaptation Framework, takes the first pass: it sorts the responses and flags the patterns. Our team checks those against what we’ve seen in other organizations, applies judgment, and writes the brief. People are accountable for every finding in it. The AI is Anthropic’s Claude Team, in a dedicated workspace. The plan does not train on customer data.
Who sees individual answers?
No one at your organization. Responses go to us, not to anyone inside your organization. They’re read as a group, never individually, and we report on groups of five or more, so no one on your leadership team can identify a respondent. Open-text answers are grouped, with anything that could identify the writer removed.
Where does the data live?
Responses are stored in Google Drive. We delete respondent-identifying details (names, emails, the roster, and open-text answers in their original form) 90 days after your session. We keep your organization’s team-level results so each read can be compared with the last, and delete them on request. De-identified responses contribute to our research on how organizations adapt to AI; nothing that identifies you or your organization is published. If you’d rather your responses stay out of the research set, tell us when you sign. We’ll walk your security team through how the data moves, and the full data terms are available on request. Our privacy policy: splendidtor.ch/privacy-policy.
What does IT need to know?
We set up an instance of our app for your organization (built on Lovable and Supabase). Respondents open a web link and answer questions. Nothing to install, no integration, no access to your systems. If you prefer, we can collect responses through your own survey tool, using our exact questions and scales. More security documentation is available on request.
The terms
What does it cost?
$12,500 for the scope above. Half on signing, half on the day of the session. Price includes the survey, the brief, the half-day session with two of us, and the written record of decisions. The session is remote at the fixed price; in person adds $2,500 plus travel.
What if we reschedule or cancel?
If you cancel, or don’t reschedule within six months of the original date, the first payment is kept.
What comes after?
We recommend reading again at least every six months; a second Org Read is the same price, and each one shows what changed since the last.
